Congress on Energy Research and Development
This conference series was established with the firm aim of promoting technological innovation and energy sovereignty in the country, and has become a national benchmark for the scientific and technical community since its earliest editions.
The 2026 National Congress on Energy Research and Development will focus on the current and future challenges of Mexico’s energy transition. Its goal is to provide a highly advanced and multidisciplinary forum for exchange among academia and the industrial sector nationwide. The event will be structured around four key pillars designed to address sustainable development goals: resource optimization, carbon footprint reduction, and the resilience of the national power system.
This event will be organized by the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Integral Regional Development (CIIDIR), Oaxaca Unit, in Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán. It aims to bring together researchers, academics, and engineers from the country’s most prestigious institutions in a unique collaborative environment in southern Mexico.
